Jonathan Ho Chin Kiat is a Singaporean double bassist, composer, electronic artist, producer, audio mixing engineer, and educator based in Rotterdam. Having studied with Stefan Lievestro and Kaja Draksler, he currently focuses on improvisation with a strong structural approach.

Before moving to Europe to complete his studies in Rotterdam, Jonathan was active as a sideman in the Singaporean Scene. Between 2014 and 2018, he toured Malaysia (Sarawak with Tony Lakatos at Borneo Jazz), Japan, Thailand, and Mexico with local and international artists.

P I N 's debut album "who cares if i mind" is featured on WFMU Radio in New Jersey/New York, released by Minimal Damage Recordings.

i n n e r f r o also delves into electronic manipulation of acoustic sounds with alternative arrangements and preparations on solo double bass, in the direction of multi-disciplinary collaborations.

i n n e r f r o works regularly with pianist and composer Filippo Deorsola, both within Anaphora as bassist and as electronic artist within the compositions Deorsola has written for electronics, text and multimedia.

He is also part of Andrew Moreno Group, Atma, Matteo Paggi & The Giraffes, Greg Smith’s Vortex, and Superposthardbop.

He recently won the Keep An Eye Competition 2024 with Anaphora, the Erasmus Jazz Prijs 2024 with Andrew Moreno Group [Axiom], and is runner-up at the Grachten Jazz Competition 2024 with Ātma. He is also part of Nuova Generazione Jazz 2025 with The Giraffes.
